Support and education of customers and involvement in the growth of the U.S. alpaca industry have always been priorities for me. I have presented/hosted workshops at my ranch many times including Introduction to Alpaca Ranching and Neonatal Clinics, I have been an invited speaker talking about alpacas and alpaca fiber, and I have been one of the organizers of the annual UC Davis Camelid Symposium since 2007. I was on the Calpaca Board of Directors for 4 years, am on the BOD of a local alpaca association, am an ARI appointee to the Government and Industry Relations Committee, and I volunteer in other ways in the alpaca industry.
Why am I saying all of this? To let you know that I am committed to alpacas and the alpaca industry .I have decided it is time to move to a smaller piece of property, significantly reduce my herd size, and simplify my life. I'm ready to have an alpaca ranch that I can manage and maintain by myself without depending on hired help. I will still have alpacas (I can't imagine life without them), I'll still be very much involved in the alpaca industry, and customer support will continue to be a high priority. If you are purchasing your first alpacas I will spend time with you, help you learn about alpacas and their care, help you with your ranch setup, and be available to answer questions. If you are adding to your herd I am here for support.

I have one non-breeding female who would be a good companion animal if you can only get one or two females right now.
I have 10 fiber males, some already gelded and some not yet gelded.
Two of the geldings (Destin and Yuma) have each sired one cria before being gelded and they still live in the herdsire group. (I tried to move Destin to the gelding group but he wanted to stay with his friends!) If you are getting just one or two herdsires, these boys might be good companion animals for the herdsire(s).
Pricing: If you are using them as companion animals for breeding alpacas that you are purchasing from me, they will be included for free. My normal pricing for fiber males is $200 if they are not gelded and $300 if I have gelded them. Pricing is negotiable.
